Mr. Peskind celebrates his 15th consecutive year as a member of the American Law Institute

Mr. Peskind is celebrating his 15th consecutive year as a member of the American Law Institute’s Class of 2006. His selection is a product of his professional achievement and demonstrated interest in the improvement of the law.

The American Law Institute is the leading independent organization in the United States producing scholarly work to clarify, modernize, and otherwise improve the law.

ALI drafts, discusses, revises, and publishes Restatements of the Law, Model Codes, and Principles of Law that are enormously influential in the courts and legislatures, as well as in legal scholarship and education. By participating in the Institute’s work, members have the opportunity to influence the development of the law in both existing and emerging areas, to work with other eminent lawyers, judges, and academics, to give back to a profession to which they are deeply dedicated, and to contribute to the public good.

The Institute’s membership consists of eminent federal and state judges, distinguished lawyers and respected law professors. Elected membership is limited to 3,000. The Chief Justice of the United States, Associate Justices of the Supreme Court, Chief Judges of the U.S. Court of Appeals and Chief Justices of the highest state courts are all ex officio members.
